What is a viewbot and how does it work?

A viewbot is a software tool or automated service designed to artificially increase views, clicks, or engagement on online content such as videos, streams, or websites. It works by simulating real user activity through bots, proxies, or scripts that repeatedly load the content. Some advanced viewbots mimic human behavior,   viewbot  watch time and interactions, to avoid detection. While they may temporarily boost numbers, these views are not genuine and provide no real audience value. Platforms actively monitor suspicious traffic, so using viewbots can lead to penalties, content removal, or account suspension in many cases.
